Secluded in Silence

All my hatred fills my heart with such rage
Of friends and family both null and fake
Void of acceptance, my life is a cage
Full of regrets and enemies to make.

When I recall my youth, I've come to see:
A child, alone, Secluded in Silence.
A deformed shadow of joy and of glee.
A family with scorn at its essence.

Many years of patience left me hollow
Simplicity has embraced me tightly
Though my gratitude is all but shallow.
When will the time come for me to be free?

Within this darkness I've longed for true love.
When I searched for it... I found it above.
